Is the 30/1.4 Sigma really HSM for Pentax too?

There isn't a non-HSM version listed on Sigma lenses page and there's a HSM 30/1.4 for Pentax listed on Amazon, is this for real?

But is the difference really that much to change your mind?

The border sharpness with this lens is something I wouldn't like too much but it being HSM for the price could just have changed my mind.. I could use a fast quiet prime lens for some occasions

Make sure you actually check out some shots and judge the border performance for yourself. I initially read the reviews and test and was convinced the border performance was utter crap. But I bought it anyway, and was surprised.

Here's a quick test of it stopped down:
storpotaten: Edge sharpness of the 30/1.4 -- example

Sure, wide or near wide open it's not really good. But at that point you have fairly shallow depth of field and chances are that the border areas will be out of focus because of that, so it may not be such a huge issue after all.

It's a great lens. I couldn't survive some situations without it.

Here's couple of samples with Ds and iso 3200. The focusing had to be mostly manual since the light level was so low (about asa3200,F1.4,1/20s for a correctly exposed image, what's that in EV?) and the Ds is a "bit" slow with AF in low light compared to more modern cameras. Plus it's quiet when it's manually focused .

In these kind of situations the corner sharpness isn't an important issue.

And couple autofocused samples with K10d.

Took the Sigma out to pizza with the family, this shot wide open (ISO 800, 1/50th)... and I actually got some border stuff in focus which is unusual at such shallow DOF so maybe it'll give people an idea of how it does.
