The Pentax-F 70-210? I used it for almost a year as my 70-210 lens. I think you will find it does quite well. Noisy of course and the color rendering is quite different than modern lenses but I have some nice pictures taken with it. It is certainly a lot smaller than any of the modern alternatives

I agree. They have love it or hate it exterior design, agricultural AF and build quality, but I dig them.
