Since the converter has a female bayonet, just like the camera body, a K-mount adapter will work just fine. If you use an adapter with a flange that covers the bayonet, you won't have infinity focus. Have fun.

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but I was wondering if a modern k-mount teleconverter could be used with M42 screwmount lenses. In other words, attaching the M42 adapter to the lens, and connecting that into a tele, and the tele into the camera. Is there enough clearance to do this, or can you only use the M42 adapter straight into the camera body? I'm thinking mainly of a promaster 1.7x. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
