Genuine m42 Adaptor/ K10d

Noticed tonight my adaptor is not locking into place. It looks unchanged - could it be the mount on camera, all "K" mounts are locking into place.

Anybody had similar.

I have a ist DS, no problems so far with M42 ring.

Is it possible the springy clip is loose on the ring...? Tighten the screw that holds the spring on using a small/jeweller/optician screwdriver perhaps?
