Igilligan > Sadly I think it is, it's one of em pre-sliced cheese thingies, I'm not sure. I'll ask my food stylist the next time I see him.

Hahaha well I don't have any DA* lenses anymore so I'm quite envious of your lineup.

Hmmm, I think DA70 is the only limited I didn't have the chance to use yet... maybe one day I will get that lens to but for the moment I am waiting for the 55/1.4

anyways I think 77 is a great lens for portraits, festivals, kids etc. and something tells me 70 is equally good for that...

here are a few photos with 77:

The 70, is probably one of the sharpest lenses that Pentax have in their arsenal. I would love to use it more often though.

I just got mine, and tried it on film, where it also turns out to be excellent.

Hi,
I've been looking for that lens for a long time and, finally, pulled the trigger. No regrets - great lens.
Here's one of the first test shots

Man, there's a lot of good shots here, but this doesn't surprise me, as the DA70 is a fantastic lens.

I finally bought mine in August, after having bought 3 other lenses with money taken from my DA70 fund. I don't regret buying the others though, as one is my M100 f4.0 macro, and another is my Lensbaby.

Back to the 70. Two things I love about this lens, are its accurate color fidelity, and its sharpness.
DA70 @ f2.8 @ 1/180 second.

DA70 @ f2.8 @ 1/125 second.

Ben, I've never owned a Leica lens, but the DA70 gives results which remind me of my Carl Zeiss 150mm Sonnar.

If you guys and gals can only own one prime, this is the one.

A great lens.

Ooh if you are gonna sell that DA35 please let me know, I'm trying to dispose of my Voigt 58 for the DA35. My 40 is fine most of the time for my food photography but sometimes I would like to focus closer than it allows. Once I have the DA35 I can dispose of the DA40.
