For the K200d and K20d:

Sigma 20-40mm f2.8
Sigma 100mm f2.8 Macro
Pentax FA 50mm
Pentax DA 35mm Macro
Pentax DA 55-300mm

Edit: The 20-40mm may give way to a DA 21mm ltd.

I go through cycles. Most: DA 40, F 35-70. A fair amount: FA 20-35, Vivtar 24mm, Tamron 90mm macro. Not very much, but for kicks: a lot of others. That's on digital, when I get the film itch it is usually an M 50 1.7, or the FA 20-35.

Typically the one or two lenses I have most recently fallen for.

Peter - How many hard drives you have?!?!
I have one in my PC (with system etc, which doesn't hold any pics) and then 300GB external that is partitioned into 3x100GB that holds the pics.

Hey Axl, I am that member

From graphy spreadsheet thingy table, (you can tell I'm technical), that's some kind of wide lens, the one at 0mm, used 140 times

My vote was with the three to five group (actually used on daily basis, four), namely 50mm f1:1.2, 85mm F1:1.4, 135mm F1:1.8 and 200mm f1:2.8 (the last three being green star versions).
Sorry I wasn't sure about the name
But I'm sure to remember it now seeing that magnificent line up...

Off topic, but does anyone know of a program like exposureplot that runs in mac os, or how to get a fancy graph like that in aperture? Then I'll be able to answer the question

I would have to say my 4 main zooms

Sigma 70-200 F2.8
Tamron 28-75 F2.8
Sigma 10-20
Pentax FA-J 18-35

All others are for specific use but this is my travel kit, and I shoot most when travelling

I have 6 lenses and I use 5 of them regularly.

I use the DA*16-50mm, DA* 50-135mm, Lester A. Dine 105mm Macro, Sigma 100-300mm APO EX DG, and the FA 50mm 1.4 generally at least once every few times I go out shooting. The macro will probably fall to the wayside until spring comes again, but snowflakes are always fun to photograph. The same might happen with the Sigma, but there are still raptors and some waterfowl around that I may go searching for. The 50 is soon to be replaced with a FA 31mm LTD which will probably get a disproportionate amount of use for the next few months(at least once Prodigital gets them in stock and sends me the one I already paid for).

I have quite a few lenses. Takumars, K, M, A, a few FA and even a DA. but in all honesty my smc-M 50mm 1.7 get used more than any other lens, probably combined.
Likewise, though I'm down to a K and M. And I think the K 35/2 might become the new 'standard'.

All my lenses get approximately equal playtime. I don't have any "bag sitters" - they all go to work for me.

I use 3, mostly. But that also depends on what camera I'm using. If I am to take film into consideration, I'd bump things up to 5.

As much as I love my primes, the 18-250 gets by far the most use due to its versatility...

Most days I have threee lenses in the bag: M28/2.8, DA40/2.8, and M100/2.8. I've got half a dozen others, and will sometimes take one of them instead of one of my main three (a 135 or 50-200 instead of the 100, 18-55 instead of 28, 50 instead of 40, etc). But there usually has to be a pretty specific reason - my main three work quite well for me in terms of IQ, focal lengths, and flexibility in terms of the kind of light I can deal with, DOF I can achieve, etc.

  • Pentax-DA 18-55 (kit)
  • MC Zenitar 16/2.8

Most of my lenses see regular use. I even had the 28-105 out for a shoot recently. LOVE that lens. It surprises me every time.

The one that rarely comes out of the bag - Tamron 70-300 LD Di. Good long lens for the cheap price. I won't get rid of it though. It's one of those, "You never use it, but you're stupid to not have the lens in the bag." deals.
