Purchasing Laowa 100mm f2.8 Macro x2

Hi,

Did anyone happen to buy Laowa 100mm f2.8 Macro x2 at Adorama?

They seem to be the only US vendor who claims to have Pentax mount version.

I tried to buy this lens from them twice and both timesI was sent a Canon version. Both times their support was assuring me that this time I will get the Pentax version and both times they were wrong.

I am afraid to make the third attempt, since it is a hassle to return it.

So, returning to my original question, did anyone actually got Pentax version from Adorama?

That's crazy!

I got a loaner for the Pentaxforums review, no problems whatsoever. That's mostly a problem with Adorama, however.

Maybe purchase directly from Laowa?

Yes, I suspect that Adorama THINKS it has Pentax version, while, in fact, it is the Canon one.

I was thinking of ordering from Laowa directly,. but my main concern is that the return might be a bigger hassle that it could be with US vendors. Adorama just lowered the price to 399.00 but what's a use :-).

Probably, but you will have more confidence that you'll get the right item...

Amplis in Canada distribute Laowa lenses, I'm not sure they ship to the US, but that's closer if you have problems. Canadian stores also probably have it in stock (Henry's, Vistek, CameraCanada).

Crazy indeed as the SKU#s and box labeling are different for the various mounts. Try posting something on Laowa's Facebook page to get their attention.

Good idea, but really that's a problem at Adorama, not Laowa.
