I just picked up a DA 18-250 for $649aus from Rainers camera house in Brisbane yesterday, 30/11. Ph 133686.
They may still be charging the old prices still. Might not hurt to try if your after something.

That's a fantastic price. I've seen that lens going for well over a grand (Aussie) even on the internet sites. Hmmmm. I'm going to be in Brisbane on December 9-10. I wonder if their prices will last that long.

Is Rainers on Adelaide St in the CBD, Dags?

Skip it, I just googled them. They're on Adelaide St alright. I see they've got a special on ATM on the K200D + 18-55 II kit lens for $AU 699. That's not bad at all.

Yes there deals on the K200d were good.
Offered me a body only price for $560aus. Problem is, I love my K100 and after buying the 18-250 I can't justify a K200 also.
Will look at buying a faster prime. I hate having to make decisions like this.

If anyone wants to buy from Canada I am here so I can test the lenses for you so you know you get a good one. If I charge 10% of the lens price + re-shipping are you still in front?

An 18-250 for $1,000+ id a !@#$ing joke. I picked it up used for $350 CDN.

Great country Australaia but a freakin JOKE for electronic goods. Even TV's, i was looking at one for my mum, a 46 inch Samsung 1080p model is some $900 MORE than over here. What a rip off.

I'm glad I picked up my 70 to 200 HSM in Sept, I also just got hold of 300 f2.8 for $aud3200 which took 4 weeks to arrive. I was expecting a price rise which didn't happen.

I was quoted new prices from Camera Action Melbourne.

I just received email confirmation for an item I ordered over the weekend. It's been placed on backorder and should be delivered next week. No mention of pricing whatsoever.

Camera-warehouse.com.au has them at 669. I bought my K10d plus 16-45 lens from them. Very happy.

Tamron prices are expected to increase after Christmas...so save those pennies quickly.

I just paid rego on the work ute .... I have rego on the Territory the week before Xmas ... and I have Xmas to get through as well. I am pretty strapped for $$$$ at the moment.
