Who do we use - lens repair/service

I have a C.Z. Jena Tessar 2.8 / 50 that has very stiff focusing ring. Making it really difficult to use. The Ap controls and glass are fine so I would like to try and save it. It actually feels more like it may be binding up a little more in one direction than the other.
Anyone else have this issue with this lens?

Are there any lens repair folks that are connected to the forum that you use? Or even someone with soviet lens experience outside of the forum I could maybe contact about getting it repaired?

thanks
gus

It has been a while but yes. I strongly recommend that you call them and discuss the problem with their repair department.

Bluemoon Camera & Machine in Portland has expertise with vintage lenses and cameras.
Blue Moon Camera and Machine
The Web site does not mention camera repair, but refurbishing old cameras/lenses is the core of their business.

Alternatively, they have one that they will sell you for $40.

Both copies I have of this lens, zebra versions, were stiff - one had also lost the indents on the aperture adjustment ring and had frozen aperture blades. I opened them both myself and cleaned them up. The grease had become ropey with age. Good luck with the repairs.

I have dealt with Blue Moon before. They are great to deal with.
