I was rumaging around in my closet this afternoon looking for a 52 mm UV filter to attach to the new DA 18-55 I'm going to give to my daughter (along with my low-mileage DS2) for Christmas. I couldn't find one; however, I came across a zoom lens, a Pentax F 80-200, I dimly recall buying 8 or 9 years ago (?). I stuck it on the DS2 and it works fine mechanically; it looks like new, since I used it so little I'd almost forgotten it.
It also looks pretty shoddy, but it's small and light (it zooms internally) - so I might add to the stuff under the tree for Robin and her "new" camera. Anyone ever use this thing? I'll give it a try tomorrow, but I'd like to hear experiences of others who may have actually taken more than a few dozen photos with it (I don't remember even taking one with the lens I have).
Thanks,
Jer
