Hard to be certain, I haven't got a copy of either lens yet (handmade silver flutes being as
expensive as they are) so any differences I could imply would be speculative at best, I prefer to be quantitative and empirical. There is the possibility* that the lenses I plan to compare will posses optical/physical characteristics that might be comparatively superior for certain genres of photography.
One positive thing I will say about the Voigtländer Color-Skopar 20mm f/3.5 ASPH SLII - it is
delightfully svelte. Though as someone mentioned above: field curvature and distortion are an optical shortcoming. I have a copy of the Zeiss Distagon T* 21mm f/2.8** in F mount and that lens is a
brick and a half.
* though this depends heavily on the presence of any optical misalignment which tends to have a catastrophic effect on wide-angle lenses.
** the older F mount version, not the newer Milvus.
