Where can I find the polarizer cap for DA* 50-135mm lens hood

Mine fell off.

I've started checking around and have only found complete lens hoods so far.

Gaffer tape?

My thinking as well . Got in touch with them and this is what they sayeth

Thank you for contacting Pentax.

Pentax does not sell the cap separately. I'm afraid you would have to purchase the hood to get the replacement cap.


Pentax, no country for lost caps.

Alternatively, you could just hold the lens so that your index finger covers the hole.

Sorry if I don't understand but what exactly is a "polarizer cap for lens hood"?

Pentax lens hoods have a removable window that allows you to manipulate a polarizer filter while the hood is still on. The part that covers the window can be lost.
