Any of these worth the drive?

I use a 10D...

a guy not far away from me wants 200 for this lot, is there anything in here worth the drive. I have a good collection of lenses and finally just got myself a zoom.

I use a 14, 50, 77 and a Tamron 90, I ordered a 16-45 should be here soon...Would these even work with the camera with the mounts....

anyways here is what he has...

(28-85mm - 2.8-22 - k mount - Kiron)

(80-200mm - 4.5-32 - k mount - Vivitar)

(24-70mm - 3.8-22 - ka mount - Vivitar Series 1)

(135mm - 2.8-22 - k mount - Albinar)

(28mm - 2.8-22 - k mount - Cimko)

(19-35mm - 3.5-22 - ka mount - Promaster Spectrum 7)

(55mm - 1.8-22 - k mount - Asahi pentax)

(75mm-205mm w/close focusing - 3.8-22 - k mount - vivitar)

(35-75mm w/macro - 3.5-22 - ka mount - Starblitz)

This guy is selling his gear, wants about 200 for everything...

wondering how they will work with my camera, if I will need adapters, etc... or if it is worth my time going out there, about 20 min from my house...anyways this guy wants 200 for the whole lot. Anything here worth my time? You can see in the sig what I have now (I just got a 14mm)

I know nothing about those lenses, but I do live in Albany, so it's 20 minutes for me too.... I'll race you!

Not really....I don't have $200 to spend after my recent lens binge...

Nice to see a fellow pentaxian in the Cap. Region

Eh - maybe. That 75-205 f/3.8 Vivitar is pretty nice, I have one myself.
It's made by Kiron (confirm that SN starts with 22,) and it's f/3.8 troughout
the range, so it's fairly fast and has nice small DOF available at the long end.

If they all were $150, I'd say gas up & go!

Chlen,
If they are in good shape, they are well worth the $200. Get them and offer those that you don't want at bargin prices in Marketplace. You should be able to make enough profit to pay for the ones that you want.

Yeah, that's a fair price, if some of them are in good order. No one is necessarily to go gaga over them, but Kirons are good, and some of them I bet you could sell off here to get close to cover the outlay.

Basically, you could probably have some fun with those and not end up tragically in the hole or anything, if your time isn't worth too much to go get them.

Some of those Albinars are pretty good, actually, and make an interesting 200ish 2.8 lens on crop. Something I plan to try myself in one form or another. Where you gonna get that.

(Also, on the Promaster, ...So happens I've found that on Ebay it's pretty much impossible to get even the cheesiest no-name wider-than-28 even in canon FD mount for anywhere near what an obsoleted-toy should cost: and even the best FD lenses suck out loud on the best adapter you could get. Something that'd ctually work on digital, well, that'd probably cover you. It's silly, but it'd sell. )

I picked up a 28-85 Kiron (the "stovepipe) marketed by Vivitar here a few months ago and found it to be a great little lens. I don't know if the one you listed is the same one, but if it is and you want a nice, fast manual focus zoom it could be worth the trip.

All you list are K mount, so no adaptor needed.

With the K-A lenses, all exposure modes are available, including program.
With the K lenses, you'll have to do manual exposure, but the lens will stop down automatically when you shoot.

I would at least go look. Shoot a few shots each. Look at shots. If one or two lenses seem to fill a need (like the longer FL) with decent quality, I'd get them. Sell the duds at reasonable prices to make your outlay minimal.

Well he said he will take $160 for the lot...asuming from his picture of the lenses that the gear is fine, $160 is not much to lose to play around with some manual lenses. I'll just sell off the lenses I dont want.

The Asahi Pentax 1.8 K lens seens like it would be fun to try.

So I took some pics with the lenses...

The Asahi Pentax 55 1.8 is pretty nice

The Kiron 28-85 is a great lens, and there was a Sigma in there not sure which pic

There is Also one shot with the Cimko 28, which was nice.

The rest of the lenses I have not had a chance to play with...

Here are the rest. I am at work and there was no touch up done to any of these, just export them to JPG...no crop even. No shake reduction, nothing.

Sounds like quite a deal for all that at that price. I'll have to start keeping my eyes open for local deals somehow, since you are not very far from where I live .

Ah, pictures of the storm's aftermath. We got more snow/sleet and less ice up here a bit northwest of Albany. I was thinking of seeing if there was anything worth shooting when I went to lunch.

The wider angle lenses would be the other ones (besides the ones you've tried) that I would have found most intriguing because they cover the area my current lenses are most lacking in. Is that 19-35mm any good at all?
