LBA is definitely in check for me for a good while since recent aquisition of FA* mega-zoom from WebberPoint. I'd like to think about the new glass, but not even before bonus time come fall.
That weather sealing and SSM sound intriquing, but I'm not shooting much at the widen end these days. I guess if the actual user reviews are stunning I might consider parting with my FA*24 to get one.

I would love to get the 18-50 but I just can't afford it. when my camera is paid off in a couple of years, I will buy another one... but by then they might have a "better" one.
If I get the SMC K 50mm 1.2 and I like it, I would likely think about the yet to be released DA *55mm 1.4.

now if they come out with a 17-70 2.8 or faster I might have to take a look sooner

cheers

I'm more excited about the 50 - 135mm.

I have and use the FA 50mm f/1.4 almost exclusively and have no real decent glass at long focal lengths.

If money wasn't an issue I'd buy both of them, but I know I can buy one and the 50-135 wins.

I was definitely going to get one, but then I found out about the 35mm macro and the 55 f/1.4. Now I'm not sure what I'll get.

I definitely buy one by the end of the year. Coupled with the 100 macro and the 300, it would cover ALL my photographic needs.

Pre-ordered both the new DA* lenses today

Just sold my entire lens collection and pre-ordered the new DA* 15-50 and 50-135 lenses. Won't arrive earlier that about the end of May or even later in June so once again I'm dusting off my trusty and good Optio 555 as I had to when I sold the DS and had to wait 3 months for the K10D! Nothing ever changes with Pentax at least with regards to their capacity to actually deliver the products they happily announce!

OP - Not going for the lenses yet. Not until my recent spending spree is paid off.

Sorry to get involved in the little side discussion between Pete and Randy, but I gotta jump in...

(Hattitudes - I bet you will have a laugh reading this!)

When your wife asks you that question (why you need another lens) what you gotta do is fight with her for the lens she is using on her camera at the moment and then say, "When you use a lens I need to use...that's why I need another!"

By the way, my wife still doesn't recognize the difference between my K28/3.5 and my M50/1.7 so I'm not in the doghouse yet for all the lenses I got last week *knock on wood*

Thats why you get out the prime lenses and show her that they aren't zoom lenses and you need a couple to cover a good range. Then justify buying the Pentax Limiteds haha.
