DA35 Limited Macro look at three little Gods.

Here are three of my little Gods in three mediums.

All shot with the DA35 Limited @ f2.8 hand held with a K10D @ 1/15 to 1/20 sec.
All as shot with nothing but a little exposure correction to show the DA35 at f2.8
All are small statues with heads around one to one and half inches high.

This is a Raiku Bodhisattva
A little Buddhist statue made with a special pottery method. He shows great serenity in his face. It was made near my home in Massachusetts.

This is a Bronze Krishna
This statue was cast in India.

This is a Cedar Saint Peter
I purchased this in Old San Juan PR. Carving saints out of cedar is a traditional art form in PR.

Really nice work, all of them. I am particularly fond of the Hindu art in attachment 23870 . Thanks.

I like the last two, and while Raiku Bodhisattva is nicely done, the limited DOF dies not enhace as much as the other two. I would have been included to use extended DOF (multishot) for that one.

OP, nice images, like the sharpness and color, the dof is ok, but too narrow for my tastes.

jfsavage, can you please explain 'extended DOF (mulitshot)' for me. It sounds like you can control dof with the multi-exposure mode ? Thank you.

OP, Sorry for the hijack.
