Tamron Macro SP AF28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di LD

Howdy All,

I have looked at the reviews on here and look pretty good. I had a post asking to help with finding a new lense. I can pick this lense up for 310,000 Won in Korea, with Current Exchange Rate it is $240. My other lenses are 18-55 kit lense and Sigma 70-300. Body is K200D. Do you think this would be a good pick up?

Thanks

Steve

I have it and I use it more than any of my other lenses. If there is a way you can check it before you buy it for Front Focus (FF) or Back Focus (BF) then you can buy it more confidently. Mine front focus slightly. So I set the focus adjustment in K20D to -2 and in K10D I set it to -40. You K200D does not have the focus adjustment feature so you have to be very careful to get a copy that focuses accurately.

68wSteve, that Tamron pretty much lives on my K10d and I had no focusing issues. Excellent lens.

See

The menu is a bit missleading giving the impression you can store different settings for several lenses. This is not the case, K10D uses the same setting for all lenses.

I heard rumors that there was a copy of one of those out there that focused right. I guess you're the lucky one that got it.
