... based on the test, the FA 31 seems like a great lens on film, and a very good lens on digital.
BTW, how do you like the SMC-A 24-50? I got it last year off this board, and finally have begun really using it the last few weekends. Not too many photos but along with a few shots from last year, I really like it. It's again, a better lens on film, but a 24-50 paired with the 21mm and a 70/77/90/135mm (depending on your preference on the long end) make for a nice 3 lens kit!
I'm a sucker for limited edition/rare things...what can I say?
The 24-50 is GREAT with film...absolutely perfect walkaround range. I also use it on digital although it's sometimes not wide enough. For digi I'm saving for a 16-50 down the road, unless I get the FA31. I sort of have the start of the classic prime kit...2x the focal length (16, 31, 55, 90...then a 200 and/or 300).
Well...I'm trying to trade it for a prime in the Marketplace. I don't know...I just enjoy primes more. Either I use 24mm, or I use 50mm...not much in the middle which is the mean the FA31 would fill to the T
