is there any cheap,SR compatible 100-400 lens?

I have checked HD PENTAX-D FA 150-450mm, but it was too expensive...

I rarely takes my tripod with me, but instead I uses monopod or even with handheld. so, compatilblity with SR matters.

I'm willing to pay up to 500$.

sharpness doesn't matters a lot.

is there any?

The DA* 300mm f4 is a more manageable prospect. But any lens of any brand will be compatible with the SR system. Yo may need to input the FL yourself when you turn on the camera if it does not recognise the lens.

If you want autofocus I think the only other option that is almost in your range is the Sigma 170-500 or 150-500. Either of them might meet your price point. The Pentax 55-300 used with the 1.4 tele-converter would give you an effective range of 77-420 but your maximum aperture will be about f8 at the short end and f9 at the long end. You would need to have good light or be prepared for slow shutter speeds. On the other hand, if you are happy with manual focus, then any lens that covers the 100-400 range might be OK. Remember that Pentax has in-body SR. It is independent of the lens.

All lenses are "SR compatible" … it's the Pentax body that has the SR mechanism
For "extreme budget" telephoto there's a lot to be said for the older FA 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 and it's variants … mine cost me £2, but it really needs a lens hood, which cost more
Third party companies like Sigma and Tamron should also be considered … often cheaper than their Pentax "equivalents" … again, try to get one with a lens hood if it's a custom bayonet fit.
Even one of the early Sigma 170-500mm "bigmas" might be found within budget if you're lucky

You may want to consider the HD Pentax-DA 55-300mm F4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR RE lens for handheld and walk-about use.

It is not 400mm, but cropping can get you there. On an ASPC sensor, it would be a 450mm equivalent.

You mentioned the word 'cheap' and while there might be some older used Sigmas or Tamrons to be found that may be inexpensive on the used market, the PLM IQ is likely going to be as good or better after cropping.

You should be able to find a good 55-300mm PLM for around $300 on the used market. New, they run around $400 (currently on sale at B&H and Adorama).

Sigma 120-400 and 50-500 are to be mentioned as well. All the "Bigmas" do meet your requirements quite well, athough you have to do a bit of research to find one in your price range.

Thank you for your answers, by the way, what I meant 'SR compatible' is that the body can read Focus length from lens electrically.
I think I'll consider DA 55-300 or sigma lenses.

It might not matter if the body can read the focal length as much as you might think. Use the tool linked in the link mentioned in this thread to set an optimal single setting for manual zooms. There are multiple optimization choices that influence the decision, and the tool output gives you the info so you can decide what focal length setting is optimized for your use.

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/173-general-photography/442712-setting-i...m-science.html

In the marketplace recently there were listings for a Sigma 120-400, a 50-500, as well as a 100-300 all of which offer the automation to inform the body of the focal length in use.

I doubt 55-300 will work with 1.4xTC. Teleconverters are usually designed for fast high-quality lenses.

I second the mention of the Sigma zooms. I think you can find a well-cared-for 150-500 or 50-500 in (or very near) your price point.

It's another +1 from me for the Sigma "bigma" 50-500. It's big and heavy but I get good results from it.

DA 55-300mm (several versions) are designed for APS- C bodies, and would work ok on a K-1 with the camera set to crop mode.
