35mm f2.8 Macro Limited

I bought this lens and am very impressed with its sharpness. It is the sharpest wide angle macro I have used across various brands.

The problem I am experiencing is the Chromatic Abberation. This lens has a huge problem dealing with White/Black contrast, on things like package barcodes, for example. I do alot of product photography and many of my product shots have green or purple fringing in the high contrast areas where the colors white/black or dark brown/white meet.

I have turned the CA adjustment on in my K70 camera body, but it doesn't control the CA.

Any advice?

And by comparison, is the 50mm f2.8 macro lens better at dealing with CA as compared to the 35mm f2.8 macro that I have?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

The HD version is said to be better than the SMC version in regards to CA. Still, it shouldn't be all that bad, and it should be easily correctable (I have the SMC version). If it is that bad that it is not correctable, you probably have a bad copy, hopefully you can return it.

Have you tried multiple apertures to see if there's any improvement stopped down some? Have you tried using a flatter light and adjusting contrast if needed in post? Is this mostly towards the edges - can you back off a bit?

Modern RAW converters are pretty effective in removing chromatic aberration. With the dedicated optics module for the lens activated on import in DxO PhotoLab, there's little to worry about in terms of CA, and certainly not with a good-copy DA35 Ltd. Macro. I don't even have to do anything to get rid of it, or most of it, except importing my DNG files.

What could be residual chromatic aberrations may still be discernible on the icicles, but I guess I'm just not particularly bothered by them:
