Maybe just think about how many times you have used a 28mm lens and thought to yourself "if only I had used a 27".

*I am thinking you will be buying more gear no matter what the replies are*

Did a low-light shoot Wednesday night... dwarf wrestling. Mostly used the Sigma 70-200. Got a bunch of good pics but didn't really have the camera dialed in just right. Should have had single point or a very narrow field for light metering as I did get a decent amount that had some blowouts.
My new camera has now taken over 600 pictures already.

I'll be posting a bunch on this forum and probably uploading to Flickr as well.

Made me think I will want to get a 24-70, 28-70, or 28-75 2.8 lens for closer low light stuff where I would want a zoom.

Here are three lenses you might consider;
FA 35 f2 (especially in new HD form, to the point that I don't know if I'd bother with the old version unless you can get a good copy cheap)
DA 35 f2.4
FA 43

All are faster and much smaller which is great for events photography use.

I already have an FA 50 1.4. might want to look at a 35mm at some point though.
