I just "won" this on eBay.

VIVITAR FAST 35mm F1.9 Wide Angle Lens - Pentax S M42

Does anyone here have this lens? I'll admit that I bought it on a whim, but hopefully I just bought something that's at least decent

Also, this would be the correct adapter to use with my camera, correct?

Hah!! I cheated on my "No Ebay" pledge and looked at that lens. John O'Connell is a great seller and Pentaxian. I have bought from him frequently.

There once was a huge website of "Cult Classic" lenses (only the front page works now) and as I recall this lens was highly desireable in its day.

There was a discussion of Vivitar releasing non-standard f/stop lenses when they were at their most creative, and how those lenses were in high demand.

Your lens is a Komine, known as a high quality manufacturer.

I'd bet you'll be pleased.

You have the correct adapter.

Yeah, seeing the 28 on the front certainly helped nudge me into buying it

I saw the "same" lens (also on eBay) with the only difference being that the other lens has an aperture ring that goes down to 22, while the one I just bought only goes to 16. I can't see the serial on the other lens, so I'm not sure if there's a difference.
