Check out this thread https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/post-your-photos/44785-post-your-best-flo...ot-2008-a.html

According to James Wei's Blog that shot was done with the Voigtlander 58mm f1.4 Nokton. BLOG

Has James placed this image on the PPG or has someone stolen it?
I am sure he is aware of what lens he used to take this beautiful image.

Some fantastic shots on his blog - but I am uncertain if all the shots that state they are taken with a Voigtlander are in fact correct, for example the Yacht Photo has a 700mm Focal Length in the exif data.
To add to the conspiracy theory the Flower shots on his Blog have 55mm as the Focal length in the exif data.

Perhaps he has had a beta version of the 55mm F1.4 and has hidden the fact by referring to the shots asbeing taken with the Voigtlander.

Of course my findings are absolutely baseless and I hope no offence is taken but ..... you never know

Oops, that must be a mistake. 55mm for Nokton in fact. Funny that it plays up from time to time.

When you key in the focal range on manual lenses, there is no option for 58mm, so 55 is the closest setting. I have a few lenses that don't register correct focal length in exif thus, the Nokton being one.

Too bad...

I thought this meant the DA*55 was available, at least somewhere.
Guess it was 'user error' then.

Strange the ppg software is already accepting this lens.

Sure, you can pre-order it. For instance at "TeKaDe" for € 549,00 including taxes (VAT).
However, I couldn't submit a photo with a pre-ordered lens to PPG .
