lens coating maintenance

I picked up a Super Mutli Coated Takumar 6x7 75mm.

Mechanics and internals are fine but the front surface has scuffs. No scratches. Just dull spots.

Is there any maintenance for such?

I do not think there is any way to fix it. At least no easy way.
To apply new coating all existing coating on the lens element would have to be removed first.
But that is nothing that can be done reliable outside a lens manufacturing plant.

And you probably will not notice much difference anyway.
If you notice any problem on the lens that is caused by damaged coating, the best option would be to find a broken donor lens that you can use for replacing the lens element.

Keep your lens hood on to help minimize possible defects from errant rays.

Try cleaning with a lensPen, and isopropyl alcohol. Don't use stronger products.

You can't, of course, repair a coating, you'd need an evaporation chamber, raw materials, and the coatings recipe. And knowledge of vacuum deposition

That's not an option. So mitigate flare by avoiding shooting into bright sources, and use a hood.
