I have 2 fisheyes.

The Samyang 8/2.8 mm fisheye which is meant for APS C , mine is the first version with permanent hood, the later version has a removable hood so that it can be used on full frame as a circular fisheye, it is in KA mount

The zenitar 16mm/2.6 which is available in K mount and M42. I have the M42 version.

The zenitar is a full frame lens but it takes great shots ( landscapes etc or in the city) on APSC sensors.

I also have the samyang 14 mm /2.8 full frame wide angle, which has some serious barrel distortion but not fisheye

Nice! At 35mm, and designed for 6x7, I suspect it isn't very fishy on the K-1 though

I have an Arsat 30mm fisheye for my 645Z, and on the crop 645 sensor it falls a bit short of the mark.

The Zenitar I assume isn't that fishy on the APSC sensor since the most distorted parts are cropped off? However I'm not sure.

On APSC clearly it is no comparison to the 8mm samyang

I have both the Rokinon 8mm f3.5 Aspherical CS IIFisheye and the SMC Pentax-DA 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 Fish-Eye ED. I love them both, but they have unique capabilities. Since the DA 10-17 is so small and versatile, it's a lens that I almost take with me.

That gives you the perfect excuse to buy a K-1 II, for which this lens is great and that is a great deal! The best way to go is using both APS-C and the DA 10-17mm, AND the F 17-28mm FE for a FF DSLR body or 35mm film. Both formats have their special advantages, and both will be good for using a Pentax FE zoom lens. The best shot is made by what you happen to be carrying.
