Owners of both Sigma 28mm/1.8 and Tamron 18-250

Is the sigma SIGNIFICANTLY better than the 18-250. I know being a super zoom vs prime, it has to be better, but I know 18-250 is a heck of a lens at the widerangles and want to know from others who has used both. Sigma 30/1.4 and 24/1.8 are sharp in the center and VERY weak on the edges, is the 28/1.8 prone to that as well.

Also, if you can elaborate on why it is better than the zoom ?, edge to edge sharpness ?, contrast ?, bokeh ? general rendering. Being a macro close focussing is better.

Also, if you quantify how better it is as related to other lenses, say is the sigma28/1.8 better than the 18-250 as say the difference between the 77LTD vs 70LTD or 31LTD vs 35LTD or much larger like between 18-250 and my FA43?

Thank you.

P.S: for me, i know that the Tamron 28-75 is better than the 18-250, but I would not call it significantly better...is the sigma 28/1.8 significantly better.

P.S 2: This shot I found seems to show the edges to be soft

This has severe decentering (?), the left headlight area is totally blur ???

OR may be I should ask is the Sigma 28/1.8 better than Tamron 28-75.

Please diregard the question. I was looking for an indoor wideangle lens when my 43 falls short. I am not really looking for speed or the ultimate IQ (the FA43 will do that), just to have a lens for quick wide group portrait and wideangle shots. I finally decided, poprtability is the main criteria as i should be able to switch the 43 to this lens on the fly. Decide to get the DA21 for that reason.

Cool. For the record, I've actually heard pretty good things about that Sigma 28. (I've been meaning to ask how big it is, compared to something familiar.)
