I'm pretty happy with everything in my bag now, but if I had to pick one, it would be the 43--great IQ and practical FL for me. I figure I must really like it since inside of a year's time, I bought one, sold it, regretted it, and bought another one.

10-17 Fisheye for its distinctive quality.

I'm a sucker for underdogs and so my vote goes to DA16-50/2.8. What can I say, a fast, sharp, and contrasty standard zoom with SDM in a solid weathersealed package.

Here at f1.9:

(the purple light on the left side of the book and the bottle came from the teli left hand)

But in a line behind (a line thin as a hair from my you know):

DA35
DA21

Best,

This is an easy thread for me to answer. My choice is the Auto Takumar 85mm f1.8

Here Pentax Lens Review Database - 85mm F1.8 you will find why I choose this Pentax gem.

By far the FA 31mm ltd f/1.8...normal field of view on a DSLR, super fast at 1.8 and amazing rendering that I just do no see from any other lenses...with a great all metal build to boot.

Almost agreed - the S-M-C Takumar 85/1.8 is my favorite.

Went to so many outings and trips and I observed that the DA14 is my most used lens. I will not go without it and so the DA14 gets my vote

Most used?
I could of course let lightroom count them, but it is something that change with time. When new the DA10-17, DA50-135 and DA35ltd was on my lens a lot, but still the kit zoom beat them in total number of shots, though I had it much longer. The highest count is still my A lenses, but lightroom seams to count them as one lens.

Favorite lens?
It must be the A*135/1.8. It took some time on the *istDS to figure out how to use it as a 200mm equivalent, but gradually I became comfortable with that as well. For a while I thought that the DA*50-135 would replace it, being more versatile and lighter to cary, but after testing them against each other I've learned that the DA*50-135 does not perform so well at 135mm as to rivale the A* lens. The A*85/1.4 is a fantastic lens as well, but the A*135 performs better at small aperture numbers in low light, so despite that the 85 is closer to my old film focal length favorite of 135mm, I prefere the A*135 over the A*85. Testing them against each other I've also learned that the DA*50-135 is close to its best performance at 85mm so I'm now less sorry that "my" A*85 is only on loan, and less craving the FA*85 or FA77ltd ("less" meaning they are still on my want-to-get-list, but currently surpassed by my crawing to find a favorite wide angle).

Another vote for the 77 ltd. It was my first limited lens and changed the way I thought about lenses, and kicked off my LBA!

I still get excited when I put it on the camera. And even more so when I see the images I get. A truly magical lens--even mistakes can look spectacular.

Great for portraits and candids, very unobtrusive too. People generally wonder why I back up so much when I use it.

I have to agree with an earlier comment that the 31 looks sleek on the camera--it really looks like a man's camera with that thing on!

The 43 is my latest, and I'm loving that too. Especially with the winter coming, it's a great indoor snapshot lens.

They are out there, but you'll need a trip to the bank for a large withdrawl first.
