Wow, this lens is faster 'n greased lightning. Focusing is remarkably easy. The build-in lens hood is darn handy. Images are very very nice, and I've managed to get that specular look when used wide open (you know, that 3D-glowly-type-image).
Yes, that's exactly why I want it - I'm able to get that effect pretty nicely at 200mm with my Tamron 70-200 f/2.8, but that thing is a monster to lug around - if I know I'm going to be shooting at 200mm exclusively, it would be nice to have a smaller option to throw on the camera that would give similar or better results.
The M 200 f/4 is wonderful, but the 2.8 or 2.5
allows more DOF magic and 3-D/specular fireworks at 200mm.
(So, yes, Tom, gimme a holler when it's time to let that baby go.
