Thanks - took it through a local conservatory today where I seem to be testing all
my lenses - it was crowded with a 3rd grade class and I didn't have a lot of time
to set up any perfect 1:2 macro shots, but I was able to capture a couple good ones:

That 2nd-to-last shot is the exact shot I took last week with the Cosina 55
1.2 - the Pentax showed much more detail at the point of focus (goes without
saying,) but somewhat 'tamer' bokeh.

Thanks, all - this thing is easy to focus - just enough throw, and very smooth,
although not as 'silky' as the Taks - but I found it very easy to nail focus. It
seemed to work with my focus indicator system very, very well at f/2.8. I'm
used to the Cosina at 1.2, where focus indication just gives up and says "OK,
shoot, you're somewhere in the vicinity of focus, here's your ^*&^& green
hexagon!"

I can actually focus this thing quickly on moving objects, like this one:

(wide open ISO 800)

I usually find that very tough to do in bad tungsten lighting like that.

Yeah, this is a nice lens. Good color, fair bokeh, great contrast and extreme
sharpness. (most of these shots don't really show off it's real sharpness.)

You don't need me to intervene and get you a refund, then??!!

I am really delighted that it all worked out for you.

Best wishes

By all means, no!! (you're not sending anyone out to take it away, are you!?!)

Adorama's been helpful every step of the way, including the fellow in the
used dept who called me back right away. I'll be ordering from you again.
