pentax FA 28-105 autofocus problems and advice

Hi. I have a pentax k1 II and 28-105 FA lens. recently it has problem autofocusing on really simple objects. when trying to turn the focus ring it moves with resistance until it get stucked. any idea on what might be the problem and what to do?

If the focus ring is stiff, that's strange. Normally the focus ring rotate without much friction. Something jammed inside the lens.

That lens doesn't have quick-shift focus functionality. Did you set the focusing mode to manual from the camera body before trying to turn the focus ring?
