Looking for the Bigma

I am almost ready to take the plunge and buy the Sigma 50-500mm. There is 1 on Ebay that is not a DG. Can anyone tell me what the Major differences are between the DG and NON DG lens

The lens coatings in the DG version are optimized for digital cameras and the optical issues from the sensor reflecting light onto the backs of the lens. If you are planning on using it with a digital camera body, wait for and get the DG version.
