I've got a chance to get a barely used K10d with the 16-45 for ~470$US... worth it?

I would say so... 16-45's go for around 210 or so second hand.. than leaves 260 for the K10D so yes definatly a good deal in my books

First question is do you want a K10D? Second question is do you want a Pentax 16-45? If the answer to both is yes, then I think this is a good deal. If you only really wanted the K10D and not the lens, then it's still a good deal as long as you can sell the lens for its general going rate.

Actually I was saving up for the K20... but i'm still on the budget and K10 will do just fine.. and yes I was planning to upgrade from the 18-55, so 16-45 would be very welcomed...

In that case, I'd say go for it. Considering what people were paying for the K10D just a year or two ago before the K20/200 release, paying under $500 and getting the 16-45 as well is pretty nice. Good luck.

Buy it.

Sell it on the marketplace - K10D for $400 and 16-45 for $200. Enjoy the fact that you are now $130 closer to owning a K20D for your troubles.
