Just completed my collection

Called KEH this morning and ordered a M 85mm f 1.9 screw mount. That SHOULD complete my lens collection. After seeing some of the ridiculous prices on ebay I was happy to find one in bargain condition for $179. All lenses are FF just in case Pentax gets crazy and brings out a 1.25 crop sensor or even a FF sensor.

Including my 43 LTD the full investment is less than $1,000. Had an old Pelican demo case left over from a line of flashlights I used to rep and it is a great storage unit. Top the whole setup off with a very cheap but heavy Amvona tripod with a 3 way pan head and a Lowepro 100 for a total of $2,100 including the K10D. Considering the quality of the glass I don't think there is any other system that could come close to the same price.

Regards,

Ken,

That's quite the collection of M series glass you've got there! Do you have a photo of the entire collection in one shot?

You are still missing...

Hi Ken

You are still missing a few focal lengths there! Like the M20, M24, M100/2.8, M120/2.8 and M150/35! Just kidding Nice collection!

I have got a manual focus lenses setup too. I am still missing a wide angle lens (looking for either a 20mm or 24mm) to complete my collection. My telephoto end only goes up to 200mm, I had a look at the 300+mm lens but all of them seem quite big to carry around so don't think I will be getting them.

cheers
Kenny

Alvin, I'll take a photo after the 85 gets here. The case is terrific

Kenny, If I hadn't found the 300mm for $80 I would have passed on that focal length too. Must say though, with the 2X converter it pulls things in close.

Regards,
