So does this lens have electronic aperture control on K mount?

Yes, it has the "A" setting. Great lens.

That's good to know.

I've seen images of the lens for other bodies and the A seems to be missing.

Mike, I use mine all the time, prefer it to my 17-70 Sigma which I used at 70 most of the time.

If Pentax introduce some decent video functions on the K8 (or whatever) I'll take a serious look at this lens.

I am interested in buying this this lens. Although, there are some nice pictures in this thread, to be honest, none looks sharp to my eyes, in fact as I see, contrast is lower too. This could be possibly due to wide open. Can someone post pictures at different aperture values.

yusuf, depth of field is miniscule wide open. It can be difficult finding what's actually in focus. But you have Jupiter 9 on your wishlist as well, which is not nearly as sharp as the Samyang is wide open or at f2 (comparing my particular copies of course). I reckon Jupiter 9 will eventually get sharper, but it has way lower contrast too and more problems with aberrations.

I'm loving this lens.

I'm aware that this thread is somewhat older but since I ran into this lens in a local store recently, I started looking for some reviews and came across this one:

Samyang 85 mm f/1.4 Aspherical IF review - Introduction - Lenstip.com

Seems like something I wouldn't mind buying for this price (249 euro's).

This thread is sort of deprecated, as we now have a dedicated section for reviews:
Rokinon / Samyang / Bower 85mm 1.4 Aspherical Lens Reviews - Pentax Third-Party Lens Review Database

With that said, that is a pretty nice review!
