Post your DA21mm photos here!

There seems to be a lot of interest growing for the DA21 and I haven't really found a real thread for photos to be posted in. Decided to make one

Post your FAVORITE photos taken with the a DA21!

I'll start with some recent ones.

These were taken during a trip to the beach during the holidays:

The calm waters on the island:

"Bangka" boat rides:

Crazy car rides:

My aunt enjoying the sunset with her cool tattoos:

This is me with my family (I'm the one in the black shorts):

Can't wait to see your photos, everyone!

Here are some of my more recent shots, well the pasta shot was last month but just recently worked on. I almost forgot about it.

The DA21 is great for food too. A pasta shot at a shoot:

My dad (left in photo) and his buddy enjoying some fresh "buko" aka coconuts in our recent trip to the mountains.
Forgot to put 2009 in my watermark though:

Diego, your last one is really impressive. Can you post some details (EXIF, some post-processing done?)

Crazy Car Rides - great pic.

I really shouldn't be looking at pictures in this thread. Gives me that tingly feeling of lust for a wide angle...

K100D > Thanks for the kind words! Great shots, thanks for sharing. I'd love to visit your side of the world but for now I'll have to rely on the photos that we share here cheap and fast way to travel!

Powermarc > Thank you, I love that photo. I'm not really into PP but for timeless memories I spend with family and friends, I like playing around with colors and stuff. I honestly can't remember exactly what I did but I just played around in Lightroom and saved it as a "timeless memories" preset. I think it's the same treatment as my "crazy car rides" photo. As for EXIF info I believe it was shot at f/4

dugrant > Thank you! Actually you can take those same photos with your 16-50, I just love the size, build, AF-speed, and it renders a bit different. The colours I would get from the 16-50 were very punchy though, great lens!

Just got my copy today. A very low light indoors shot. While 3.2 isn't fast, SR along with a decent hi iso look (for my taste) works ok. This'll be an interesting one to shoot with for candids, but you have to get pretty close.

True, but the 24mm is a very solid and fairly hefty lens to haul around! That's probably the next of the lenses to be shot with on my new K20D for testing.

Congratulations!

One reason why I love this lens is because I can get pretty close, makes for some real dynamic shots

It is an interesting focal length. I did some street shooting today and found it was a bit too distant for many things. You really do have to get into the thick of it to make it work. As a classic wide it works fine, and your shots show it is an excellent "portrait" lens in the right hands. My feeling is that you'd need to know your subjects to best use this lens. At any rate, always more to learn.

My favorite shots with the DA21 so far:

The last one is a bulb exposure on B/W film, with the edges cropped and cloned because of vignetting.
