Today I recieved a Lester Dine 2.8 Macro what I bought from a forum member.
I have had some other all metal bodied lenses, such as the 77mm limited.
But even still the weight, construction and design (the body is flawless) really really impressed me.
So of course I HAD to test the legendary sharpness of the lens... so here are some macro samples (between 1:2 and 1:1) at both f16 and f2.8 with the on-board flash...

So not very scientific.... but I am impressed by the wide open performance of the lems.... Love the feel and am sure I am going to love the results!
Ps. The HUGE focus throw will take some time getting used to, but as a dedicated macro I'm sure it will be beneficial
