is there a special mount for pentax lens for wimberley?

I have it and I have used it with *istDS and K20D.
It is very heavy so I use it only with bean bag from car's window. It is acceptable sharp at f8.

Just week ago I have bought Leica Telyt 560mm 6.8. From my first tests it looks that Leica is much better: much sharper, beter contrast, much, much less purple fringle and CA.

I had one for a short while, but just didn't like the manual focus on it, so traded in for a 12-24!

Another idea for a head though, how about a video fluid head? worked a treat for me!

What kind of results are possible with the eBay "Opteka" 500mm lenses? I know they're not going to be great, but do they work at ALL?

Has anyone tried one of these things? At under $100... it seems like it might be worth picking up just to try out the focal range... anybody have, or have had one of these?

(Here's what I'm talking about: Opteka 500mm Lens for Pentax K K10D K100D K110D K1000 - eBay (item 290288958913 end time Jan-19-09 16:09:54 PST))

Don't bother. Someone on the Canon forum had one (except it was white, so it looked like an L lens ) and it was agreed that it was the worst lens ever to be mounted on any camera, ever......

You'll get much more enjoyment from spending the $100 on a nice steak dinner at Morton's.
