lens fits k1000 but not MZ-7

can it be?
I just got the Hanimax macro lens today. tried to fit it on my k1000 no problem.
tried on the MZ-7 will not fit (its very close but not) how can that be?

Could you explain how it doesn't it fit? What happens when you try to mount it?

I guess the light baffle is probably too large. If so then you need to remove it. Dremel tool for lens modification - Photo.net Pentax Forum

Hi there!

well its very very close. its almost there but on the bottom there is something that is blocking the lens its almost nothing (like 0.005 of an inch) but wont fit
so weird
and on the K1000 its so easy no problems at all.

I will test this lens during the weekend and hopefully will post some pics soon

yeah that seems to be the problem...
I don't think I will know how to do it my self thou.. well for now I will use it on my K1000 if the lens is good and I would like to keep it for my digital I would take the lens to a shop

You can also try to remove the baffle completely, until you have the proper tools. I used a dremel and it wa a 5 minute job.
