Absurd price Pentax K 50mm 1.2

Just seen for sale on "Marktplaats", the Dutch equivalent of eBay, the 50mm Pentax-K 1:1.2. The seller "only" asks € 500.00 = $ 663.00....... Still hoping he made a typo and he meant € 50.00....

For those interrested (and rich): Pentax-K 50mm 1.2 (hope this isn't against the rules, otherwise: please remove....)

It does seem like a high price but according to the PF users who have had this lens the average purchase price is about $355USD.

Are you thinking maybe about the 1:2? This one is the 1:1.2, which is a huge difference.

No, I realised it is the 1.2, not the 2! I still think (...) there is a big difference between $355 (in the database) and $663! Or am I missing something (could be of course, it is late here, and I had a busy day

Not at all. But the thing to consider is the location of the sale and how often the lens is available in that area. If it is a rarity then it could fetch that price. While I haven't seen too many of these lenses available here in the US there are other 1:1.2 options that have popped up more recently like the Cosina for example.

If you buy that lens, I know just the camera on which to mount it: there's a guy on ebay trying to sell a K1000 for $4999.99, shipping not included.
