Originally posted by seacapt There is much discussion about the AF issues in some copies of the DA* 16-50 but are there other lenses known to be problematic. I know that it's not a big money lens but the FA28-105 which I bought new has very inconsistant AF quality even when compared to the cheaper lens which I bought used. Is it worth calling Pentax? Has anyone else had problems with this lens? Are there other lenses to watch out for?
Any input would be appreciated.
My 28-105 PZ lens would hunt for focus at the 28 and the 105 mm ends, using my istD. Movinging the zoom a fraction eleminated this.
My Nikkor 35-70 F2.8 does the same thing.
Using the 28-105 on my PZ-1 and K10-D shows no problems. It does have som CA, especially when i shoot old buildings, farms etc, with metal roofs.
