Photos taken with DA*300mm f4

I want to see what actual photos can be taken with the DA*300mm f4 lens. I was looking at this website, which was mentioned here concerning wishing for DA*400mm f4 lens in the roadmap, here is the link Clarkvision.com home

I want to compare IQ with his canon lens. I want to know if the DA* lenses can stand up to Canon lenses. I have seen unbelievable photos taken with the DA* 50-135 zoom; does the DA*300mm match that?

thanks

I photograph wildlife and want to know if a DA*400mm lens comes out will it be worth the wait

I love the one of the waxwing, great shot.

Most of my shots with the DA*300 have been with the Kenko 1.5xTC attached so I can't be of any real help.

I'll play. These were all taken with the DA*300 on the K20D.

Have a look at my thread here. All the photos (except for the Golden Gate Bridge) have been taken with the DA*300 and DS.

Thanks to everybody for your comments. This is an amazing lens. Since I got it some weeks ago, I did not used my Tamron adaptall-2 300mm f/2.8 !

I got mine from Prodigital2000 on ebay. Lastly, they have been slower than usual to ship, but they have very good price. You can buy it there for about 900 USD.

Do you need to stop it down for best sharpness or is it sharp wide open?

Sharp wide open! (at least my copy)
95% of the time I use it wide open. Just love it!

Are those bird shots cropped any or were you just that close to those small birds? Just curious because if those are cropped much then that lens is REALLY great.
