Then we had a few sunny days, and windowsill time seemed to make a much bigger change. an LED - who knows?
Took mine three weeks in a south-facing window angled up using the foil. The glass is water-clear now - and takes beautiful, sharp photos. $23.75 and 3 weeks in the sun for a pristine lens - what a world!

I've been putting my 3 yellowed Takumar 50/1.4s under a "black light" 20w (75w equivalent) UV CFL lamp mounted in a small desk "gooseneck" lamp. I've removed any front screw-on UV filter that I might have installed and opened the aperture to its widest setting. Then I've tucked the lens under the UV bulb on a shiny piece of aluminum foil (to reflect the light back up thru the lens) front lens facing down and just clearing the bulb, all for for maximum effect.

Usually, 36-48 hours in this arrangement completely clears the yellowing. No muss, no fuss. Found the bulbs on E-Bay for $6 or so.
