Does anyone have an opinion on the matter?
Never at a loss for an opinion.
From my perspective, I think the K 135/2.5 would be a consensus winner in a Pentax 135mm poll. The other 135s have their supporters but the K 135/2.5 has the fairy dust factor going for it. It is, of course, going to be the most expensive option in the MF category. The K 135/3.5 and M 135/3.5 are also very good and will perform well on your LX camera. All three have their shortcomings on a DSLR as you are well aware.
If you are still shooting a lot of film I would opt for the K 135/2.5. If digital is your passion the A 135/2.8 gets good reviews in the lens review area. It will perform well on the LX and has the benefit of the A setting on digital. In this case the A 135/2.8 is a little more versatile and probably the better choice. The good news is you can't really lose no matter which way you choose.
