Some great images there. I really like the bokeh and effect of 'defective love'.

I've been meaning to use my A135 more and this is the inspiration I need.

Great lens and nice shots as well. bokeh looks very good and it's very sharp.

Welcome to the forums. Impressive start.

Yes, it is a wonderful lens. One of my favorites. Only A*135/1.8 could be better imo. But that is ten times the K 135/2.5 price.
Thanks for sharing! They're nice shots. Great use of the lens' wonderful background blur...

Wow! Starscream's photos are indeed impressive. Attributable to the lens' legendary performance - yes, but most of it must be from the the photographer's talent and skill.

Everyone seeing the above photos must be feeling encouraged to go and use their 135mm lenses some more. In that case, Starcream or someone should start a 135mm thread and lets all post our samples to it.

The 135mm lens is one of the most common FL among manual primes. If you don't have one, there is close to a hundred 135mm prime lenses currently available in Ebay for Pentax users. They're relatively cheap especially the M42 ones.

Cheers.

Alex

Great picture, I have the same primer lens, got it from ebay for a low price. Great tele-lens. I would said it takes better pictures than the M42 Takumar 135mm.

Great results there! I own the M42 version (S-M-C Takumar 135mm f/2.5) and found that sharpness takes a dive on and after f/5.6. Is that your impression too?

Do you mean the Takumar 135mm f2.5 or f3.5 Which one?

That's unusual. Most lenses are sharpest between f8-11 or so. This one is sharper when wider open?

That was my impression (see Manual Focus Lenses :: View topic - MC Jupiter 37AM 135/3.5 and MC Sonnar 135/3.5) although my testing method was flawed (tripod shake). I really need to conduct the same test again.

That is odd. The Tak 135mm f3.5 is sharp at 3.5, soft at 8 and sharper at f5.6. The f2.5 is sharpest at 2.5 and worse as you go up to f8 But you thought there was camera shake so it's hard to be sure if these results show the true ablity of each lens.
