Hi Driver,
The short answer is that yes, the Katzeye will work with older lenses. It significantly enhances the ease of focus compared to the stock screen. How it affects metering both with/without the optional Optibright treatment is another question. I have been doing some exposure studies with my Katzeye screen in comparison to the stock screen and will post the results in the near future.
