Latest on 16-50?

A while back there was a lot being said about the quality control for the 16-50, but nothing of late. Any new users out there who have better results with later (newer) edition 16-50s? If so, serial #?

there are 2 seriale about 16-50:
901...
and
902....

you can find a "lemon" always: if you buy a 901... or a 902...

about me, the new DA Star are not like a FA Star.
FA Star Zoom are better.
