645 Lenses

Since the new 645D is getting closer to reality, I was wondering about the 645 lenses. Can anyone point to a page that has data on them like the one for the K-Mount lenses?

Our lens review database has a list of all the 645 lenses, and a few photos and descriptions. There aren't half as many 645 lenses as K-mount lenses, but that page should fill you in on the basics.

A thing not many "new" Pentaxian knows is that lenses for the Pentax 67 can be mounted on the 645 via an adapter that maintan the automatic aperture. That means that those lenses can be used in full aperture priority, even if they obviously lack autofocus.
So, in addition to the specific lens for 645, you can add monsters like the EDIF 400 f/4 and ED IF 800 f/6,7.

I'm using the 645 a lot for landscape work - need to get round to adding my opinions to the lens review database.

Ref that last point above, I've used 67 lenses on the 645 using the adapter - great for telephoto lenses but not so good at the wideangle end.

The one lens that I did want to try from the 67 arsenal was the 75mm shift - it works OK but how much use is a standard focal length shift lens? The problem will be even worse on the 645D - imagine a 100mm effective focal length (645 format) shift lens???

Thanks a lot everyone. I didn't realize the lens database here had 645 lenses. Thought it was just K-mount and M42.
