I didn't read the review, I don't thin I will.
I got Sigma 10-20 over year ago, and never looked back

Pentax DA*11-16mm? Why Pentax, why?!?!?!

If Tokina made it in a Pentax mount, I would prolly have to buy it. From what I have read, it destroys the competition.
Agree with that, until then its the 12-24mm

Did you read the conclusion? They were actually pretty positive about the lens. The test results are what they are, and you can't blame DPReview for taking off points for the poor performance there, but they still consider the lens as "worthy of a place on the shortlist for anyone looking to buy an ultrawide DX zoom."

I actually thought they went pretty easy on the lens in the conclusion, still praising it and implying that the softness wide-open was not really a big deal (and in real life terms, it probably isn't).
I didn't say they weren't positive about it at all, just that the bias is there. It is well documented they are biased towards C and N in just about every regard concerning that equipment.

Heck, just look at the new 5DII review. Just about ever major forum over there sees it, not just one. Its been like that for a while now @ amazonreview.com

Do members over here have now any further experience with this lens? The reason I find it somewhat tempting is $ - or actually €. For example a German retailer I've bought lenses from before list this Tamron for 384€, while the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 is 507€ and Pentax 12-24mm a ridiculous 1069€!

Is this Tamron really such a dog that it's not worth buying even at that huge a price difference?
