Soligor 76-205 3.8

I just got this Soligor 75-205 with a constant 3.8 bundled with a Mamiya=Sekor 55/1.4 & DTL1000I bought. This lens is a bit of a surprise, bright clear glass and seems fast.
on K20D:

I've read that the Mamiya-Sekor 55/1.4 compares well to the Takumar 50/1.4. I got one this week so I did a little unscientific testing. The Super Tak was definitely sharper from 1.4 to 8.8, after that maybe a toss up. Color maybe a little truer on the Takumar. Anyone with different or similar results? Obviously the comparison is of these two lenses, either may or may not be representative copies, but it's kind of fun!

Test Shot:
Super Takumar 50/1.4 on K20D
F16, 2.5 seconds, ISO 100

Mamiya-Sekor 55/1.4 on K20D
F16, 2.5 seconds, ISO 100

Thanks for testing Tom(/ramseybuckeye). Here's a lens I really had forgotten to take a single picture with. It is not that bad after all .-)

Meyer-Optik Görlitz Trioplan - 50mm f2.9 @ f4.0(?)

...and a shot of the lens itself, next to the DA35Ltd. Cute, isn't it?

Looks like a nice lens Tom

Schacht 90 2.8 I've been getting better focus and readjusted my settings in PP. I'm much more pleased with how bokeh is turning out from this lens.

Thanks Mark, I like that as a kind of abstract, that wire looks wicked. I like the way you have that light burning through the background, but it doesn't overwhelm the wire in the foreground, if that makes sense. Very sharp detail on the wire. Well done.

Here are a few from a Sears Tele Zoom 55-135 shot on my Spottie SP II. I was surprised how well this lens worked.. I need to try it on Digital too..

This to counterbalance the Takumar club - for all other M42 lenses.

Pentax is unique among the remaining camera manufacturers to maintain such a level of backward compatibility to the Golden Age of open source lens mounts. So let's mount them M42's and show off the results!

The M42 Crew.
Pentax should be considered the "Green" dSLR... super thread, thanks!
