wow Igilligan, I'd be very pleased with myself if I had such good photos after 1 or 2 years of using a lens, amazing portraits and great flower shots!

This was shot years ago with my Sigma 135 1.8...probanly asa 800, Mamiya DTL 1000. I have to hunt up my negs for this batch as this was just a scan off a print, and I have a MUCH better scanner now. Interesting lens, handles high contrast or low light real well

This one is with it's bigger brother....also a YS.....the 300 4.0 Sigma. Both the 135 YS and 300 share the same 77 mm filter size. They are big and heavy. Hauling both with a rather beefy body could be a chore. This was also done with the Mamiya DTL 1000

One more from the 135 1.8....this shot's from about 24 yr ago and on Kodacolor 200 ,Mamiya DTL 1000...again one that I should rescan. I have a 20x30 print from a shot off the same role of film.

Hi,
My first test pics from the Jupiter 9, I'm having problems calibrating my split focus screen so these two are the best of a large sample. I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Very nice shots with the J-9. Congratulations on the getting the lens and good luck on getting your focus screen dialed in.

That sounds like an acceptable price for any lens of reasonable quality in good shape. Here is a link to a thread on this site with pictures from this lens (I don't known which version).

Pretty impressive I would say...

I don't use my Pentacon 50 much - part of the reason is that the diaphragm is a bit sticky. Here's some pictures I've just taken:

@ f1.8

@ f5.6

Wide open it is a bit soft, but as you can see, stopped down a bit, the results are quite good. I had to adjust the exposure on those two, and cropped them.
