The M42 Crew

This to counterbalance the Takumar club - for all other M42 lenses.

Pentax is unique among the remaining camera manufacturers to maintain such a level of backward compatibility to the Golden Age of open source lens mounts. So let's mount them M42's and show off the results!

The M42 Crew.

Yashinon DX 35mm f/2.8, K100D

The Yashinon DX's have the auto/manual switch, while the later DS and DS-M do not. (DS-M are the same as DS except multi coated.)

M42 Crew

Very nice Nesster; here's my contribution, taken with an Auto Sears 55mm 1:1.4.
Some people say this lens was made by Tomioka, who I'm told were renowned for quality.

Hi Nesster,
another great thread start, thanks for doing this! I see you are still hanging onto that Tokina/Soligor 105mm. I bet that shot is film, right? Extraordinary shadow play in there.

Here's that Feinmess Bonotar 4.5/105mm again,

You should know by now that 'Bono' means nothing else but 'good' ! :-)

105mm f4.5 Telesar Anastigmat (actually an m39 lens with an off brand m39 to m42 adaptor)

Soligor 400mm f/6.3 with 2x Vivitar teleconverter (handheld)

Soligor 400mm f/6.3

Makinon 200mm f/3.3

Seimar 135mm f/2.8

I think that covers most of the off brand m42 lenses I have access to.

Wow, great thread Nesster! And a lot of terrific shots allready in the first page. I see Russians are not banned, although there is a separate club for Soviets too?

After posting a lot of photos made with my two Russian lenses, now something else. This one was made today with my Pentacon 50mm f/1.8, wide open. A little underexposed, but I like it...

There's no need to counterbalance Takumars, they are in their own league

But, in the Zeiss league (neither better, nor worse than Taks, just a different league), the 35/2,4 Flektogon has to represented. Here's my contribution.

Bad Credit

I've got to get in on this action, amazing stuff so far! Here's one with my 135/2.8 "Focus MC Auto" on a bellows racked out 3cm or so. I don't know anything about the lens apart from the fact that it was made in Japan and it is a screwmount. The object is a cut up credit card, hence the title.
